Abstract

In this paper we investigate the use of multiple representation in modeling tasks. We present a system in which three representations of learner constructed models can be used: textual, graphical, and output representations, the latter consists of generated output from the learners’ models, the first two are representations to construct the model. The representations are described, as well as a method for converting representations into each other while maintaining consistency and usability of the representations. Finally we present preliminary results of the effects of using the representations in a collaborative modeling task.
