Personal “Stuff”

I grew up in Italy, but, when I was seventeen, I was fortunate enough to be sent to Waterford Kamhlaba, United World College of Southern Africa, in Swaziland. Apart from the fact that I did not really know where Swaziland was until I was made the offer, I had a great time and met some of my best friends for life.

Ø      Information on Waterford and on the United World Colleges!

In Swaziland, I caught the “travel bug”, a very serious illness that forces one to visit many countries (from Italy to Swaziland to Scotland to Canada to England). Only recently I seem to have settled a little, while some of my friends continue to wander all over the world (from Rwanda to Canada to China). Having said that, there is a lot to see in the UK. I recently went hiking (well, sleeping more than hiking) in Wales with Jon and the scenery was beautiful. When I am organised enough I will put some photos here…

While in Scotland, I started practicing Aikido and have continued to do so in the various places to which I have moved. Aikido is a non-aggressive martial art, perfect regardless of your age and size. Actually, the smaller you are, the better, as you gain in satisfaction throwing around big men with little effort. Brilliant.

Ø      Magic? Impossible? Information on Aikido in general, in St. Andrews (UBeA), in Kingston (Ontario, Ki Aikido), in London (BAF) and in Nottingham (Shudokan Aikido).
