UK Orthography Group (UKOG)
UKOG is a special interest group in orthographic processing for researchers in the UK and those from elsewhere visiting the UK. The focus of the group is on research investigating the processes involved with visual letter and word recognition in typical and atypical, skilled and developing, readers of any orthography. The aim of the group is to facilitate research development and collaboration through open discussion and exchange of ideas in a friendly and supportive environment.

UKOG 2017

The 2017 meeting is scheduled for the day before Reading hosts a scientific meeting of the UK Experimental Psychology Society on 12th -14th July. Professor Kathy Rastle will be giving the 15th Mid-Career Award and Dr Matt Davis is organising an accompanying symposium. Schedules permitting, we hope that many speakers in this symposium will join us at UKOG on 11th July, along with other reading researchers planning to attend the EPS meeting.

We have a great line up of talks and posters so we hope many of you can make it. To give us an idea of numbers, if you plan to come, please could you register using this (very short) online form.
There is no cost and no commitment but please do add your name if you are coming and delete it if your plans change. We are also organising a post-workshop dinner so please could you also indicate if you would like to join us on the form. We anticipate the cost for dinner will be about £20/person but we will confirm this nearer the time.
Parking is extremely limited so we strongly advise public transport. If this is not possible for any reason, do get in touch and we will see if we can help.
If you are also interested in attending the EPS meeting, please note that submissions will be via the EPS website. The EPS will be providing information about accommodation in due course. If attending both UKOG and EPS, it would make sense to book accommodation via the EPS links. Other information about possible sources of accommodation will be sent later via the UKOG mailing list.
